A worker is able to lodge a claim for a work-related injury or illness. This can be for physical injuries but more commonly are for psychiatric or psychological injuries. An entitlement to Workcover is dependent on the injury or illness falling within the parameters of the applicable legislation. In Queensland, this is the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 (Qld).
